"However, it has been claimed that the other diners in the restaurant failedto notice that Bruce and Renée were sat with one another because they weredistracted by another star - Reese Witherspoon.

According to reports, the 'Walk The Line' actress - who filed for divorcefrom husband Ryan Phillippe earlier this month - was eating a salad alone,before Renée saw her and went over to have a chat.

The two actresses were soon joined by 'Die Hard' actor Bruce and the triothen spent almost an hour together talking and drinking.

Meanwhile, Renée has claimed that her life was easier when she was abarmaid - before becoming an international movie star.

She recently said: "When I first went to Hollywood, I remember working fortwo years in a bar. I was happy when all I had to worry about was the labelson the bottles.

"I'm not a 'look at me' girl? When I have to walk down the red carpet beforea premiere, I am terrified by the wall of photographers screaming my name.It is so violent."
